Summer Party Fun 2025

On Sunday 29th June, over 110 special needs children, along with their siblings, parents and carers, came together for a fun-filled Summer Party at the Hotel Ambassadeur.

The event was full of laughter, music and colour, with entertainment provided by DJ Lummy and the ever-popular Helen and Orieole from Hoops and Glitter. Their lively games and dazzling hoop skills had everyone joining in, while Helen’s famous glitter face painting added an extra touch of sparkle – with a cheerful queue of children waiting to be “decorated”.

The Hotel Ambassadeur kindly served up a delicious buffet lunch, packed with the foods children love most. To top off the day, each child went home with a gift, a balloon, and a little extra ice cream – a sweet way to end a wonderful afternoon.

A heartfelt thank you goes to JT Community Giving for their generous £1,000 donation towards this event, as well as Bambola for providing toys, Alison from Hallmark Cards for the colourful balloons, and Barker Stuart Young for ensuring everyone could enjoy a scoop (or two!) of ice cream.

It was truly a joyful afternoon, filled with smiles, laughter and community spirit – a reminder of what Variety is all about: bringing happiness and inclusion to every child.
